Ensuring the safety of everyone who participates in the Containers for Change scheme is a top priority.

While Queensland has been one of Australia’s COVID-19 success stories, we have still experienced changes to the way we go about our daily lives.

Like many businesses, improvements have been made to the Containers for Change network to ensure the safety of recyclers and staff alike.

Bag drops represent a quick, easy and contactless option for container refunds.

With this in mind, additional bag drop facilities have been introduced across the network to improve access to contact-free container refunds for Queenslanders.

Simply bag your containers, label them with your scheme ID, deposit them at your nearest container refund point bag drop and a refund will be deposited directly to your bank or PayPal account.

To find a container refund point with a bag drop facility near you search the map or the Containers for Change QLD app and look for the black pin.

For those who prefer to stick with their traditional method of returning containers, we have introduced a range of additional health and safety precautions at container refund points.

These include regular cleaning of high-touch surfaces and new floor markers that act as a helpful guide for practising social distancing on-site.

While restrictions have eased here in Queensland, we know we need to remain vigilant when it comes to keeping everyone safe. We’re all in this together.
