CREATING JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE DISADVANTAGED
Kanga Bins are helping to keep Central Queensland beautiful with their nine container refund points (CRPs). Having operated the family-run waste removal business for 33 years, Amanda McCasker and her team from Kanga Bins knew the opportunity to become part of the Containers for Change scheme was too good to miss. The scheme has been a big part of the business’ growth which has created a host of job opportunities for the region in the process.
"Kanga Bins have processed more than 55 million containers and created 36 brand new jobs."
Since the scheme started, Kanga Bins processed more than 55 million containers and created 36 brand new jobs in the first year alone. As part of their employment drive, Amanda and the Kanga Bins team have looked to create opportunities for disadvantaged members of the community, inspiring other business leaders to do the same.
